A triangle ABC is slid by a translation vector to a new position A-prime B-prime C-prime. Drag the triangle's vertices, or drag the head of the vector arrow to change how far and which way it slides. Every point moves by the same vector — the same distance in the same direction — so the connecting arrows from each vertex to its image are all equal and parallel. The image is congruent to the original with the same orientation, and no point stays fixed unless the vector is zero. An info button opens a drawer explaining translation.

every point moves by the same vector (same distance, same direction)
Drag the purple arrowhead to change the slide. All three connecting arrows stay equal and parallel.
