A rectangle has corners A, B, C, D in order. Drag the point P anywhere — inside or outside the rectangle — and drag the top-right corner to resize the rectangle. Lines connect P to all four corners. The theorem says the two distances to one pair of opposite corners and the two distances to the other pair are balanced: PA squared plus PC squared always equals PB squared plus PD squared. Both totals are shown live and stay equal no matter where P is. An info button opens a drawer explaining the theorem.

PA² + PC² = PB² + PD²
Drag P anywhere — even outside the rectangle — and the two totals stay equal. Drag the top-right corner to resize.
